The government, on Thursday, has announced the closure of government offices in the last 10 days of Ramadan.
The closure of government offices during the last days of Ramadan, aimed at upholding Islamic principles, promoting appreciation for Islamic values, and prioritizing acts of worship, is an electoral pledge of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Accordingly, in line with a directive issued by the President’s Office on February 4th, government offices will be closed during the last 10 days of Ramadan, starting from March 9th.
The directive also instructs government authorities to ensure the continued provision of essential services and to communicate operating hours to the public during this period.
Ramadan began on February 18th.
