A Maldivian youth detained at a prison in Thailand over a drug-related case has died.
Maldives Police Service, on Friday, identified the deceased as 22-year-old Ibrahim Nabeeh Naseem, Fanaaru, Th. Guraidhoo.
Nabeeh was arrested by Thai police on February 22 at Don Mueang International Airport.
Authorities have yet to disclose the details of drug-related accusations against Nabeeh, and the cause of his death.
A police official stated that the Maldives Police Service is working with relevant agencies to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
