In celebration of the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr this year, Ooredoo Maldives hosted an ‘Eid Sai’ (Eid breakfast) for the public in Malé and Hulhumalé.
Similar to previous years, the company organized the event following the congregational Eid prayer. In Malé, the breakfast gathering took place in front of the King Salman Mosque, while in Hulhumalé, it was held near the Hulhumalé Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Sheikh Qasim bin Al-Thani).
According to Ooredoo, the primary objective of this initiative is to provide members of the public with an opportunity to come together with family and friends and enjoy a festive breakfast in a joyful atmosphere during Eid al-Fitr.
The event saw strong participation from the community, including children and senior citizens, who gathered to exchange Eid greetings. Sharing breakfast in the streets following Eid prayer remains a cherished and longstanding tradition in Maldivian culture.
Each year, Ooredoo conducts a range of activities across the Maldives in conjunction with Eid, including hosting community breakfasts, distributing Eid Boakiba, and providing gifts for children.
In addition to these initiatives, the company has introduced special offers on its telecommunications services for this year’s Eid celebrations and has organized various social activities. These include sponsoring sports tournaments across different islands and supporting children’s evening festivals.
