Activity-filled three-day ‘Eid Haveeru’ to kick off today

Organizers are prepared to kick off an activity-filled three-day event in Male’ area on Friday in commemoration of this year’s Eid al-Fitr.

‘Eid Haveeru’ event will take place every evening from 16:00pm to 18:00pm Friday through Sunday, in Male’, Hulhumale’ and Vilimale’.

In Malé City, the event will be held in the Republic Square. In Hulhumalé, the event will be held at Central Park in Phase I and the Hiyaa Park area in Phase II, while the Vilimalé football ground has been designated as the venue for the event in the district.

MNDF stated that the ‘Eid Haveeru’ event will feature a wide range of activities, including traditional games, entertainment programs, and the distribution of Eid gifts. Various state institutions and state-owned enterprises will set up stalls offering themed games and interactive experiences, particularly aimed at engaging children.

A key highlight of the event will be special displays by MNDF. These will include exhibitions of military uniforms, operational equipment, and weaponry, as well as land and sea vehicles used by the force. Members of the public will have the opportunity to view the displays, take photographs, and gain firsthand insight into MNDF’s military assets.

State-owned enterprises participating in this year’s event include STELCO, MWSC, WAMCO, MPL, HDC, STO, MACL, RDC, MTCC, and MIFCO.

Similar events have been held during previous Eids which were well-recieved by the public.
