Motorcycle loses control, injures pedestrian on zebra crossing in Hulhumale'

A man was hit by a motorcycle while crossing a zebra cross in Hulhumale' Phase II on Sunday evening.

Police said the accident occurred when a motorcycle travelling north–south on Hithigas Magu swerved out of control and struck a man who was crossing the road.

The incident was reported at 9:26 pm.

The pedestrian, a Maldivian man, sustained multiple injuries and is being treated at IGMH, according to polic

IGMH told Sun on Monday that the man is currently being treated in a ward of the hospital.

Police said the case is under investigation.
