A local magistrate court has sentenced a man to three years in prison for sexually assaulting a woman as she slept in her home.
The crime that led to the conviction took place in August last year.
The man was accused of trespassing into a house and sexually assaulting a woman as she slept.
He pressed with two charges; sexual assault and trespassing.
He pled guilty to both charges, and asked the court for leniency in sentencing.
A magistrate court issued its ruling last week, sentencing the man to three years in prison for sexual assault and three months and two days for trespassing.
