Six people were arrested in a raid on an apartment that police say was being operated like a drug cafe'.

The Criminal Court on Saturday ordered all six suspects into custody for 30 days.

They were arrested on suspicion of possession, use, sale, and trafficking of drugs.

According to the arrest warrant, officers recovered a large quantity of suspected drugs, cash, and a digital scale used to measure narcotics from inside the apartment. Police told the court the premises had been set up in a cafe'-style manner where drugs were sold and used, and that some of the suspects were frequently seen entering and leaving the location.

The accused told the court they had no connection to the drugs found in the apartment. However, the court said the circumstances provided reasonable grounds to believe the apartment was being used for drug-related activities, and ordered all six suspects into 30 days’ remand.
