Th.Vilufushi: Points allocated to applicants for 100 housing units in Vilufushi; complaints period opens.
Housing Ministry has completed the verification and point allocation process for applications submitted for the 100 housing units being developed in Th. Vilufushi, in accordance with the established criteria.
In an announcement published in the Government Gazette on Monday, the Ministry stated that applicants can now view their allocated points by logging into the 'Hiyaavehi Portal.'
The Ministry further informed that the opportunity to submit complaints regarding the allocated points or any other related concerns is now open through the Hiyaavehi Portal.
According to the announcement, a period of 10 official working days has been granted for the submission of complaints. The deadline for this window is 14:00pm on Tuesday, September 10.
The Ministry emphasized that complaints submitted through channels other than the Hiyaavehi Portal, or those received after the stipulated deadline, will not be considered. The permanent list of housing unit recipients will be announced following a thorough review of the submitted complaints.
With a population exceeding 1,000, the housing project in Vilufushi allocated points based on government-mandated regulations and standards. The Ministry noted that the application review process was conducted by a special committee comprising officials from the Ministry and a select team from Vilufushi.
Physical work on the 100 housing units in Vilufushi initially commenced in 2014. However, following a five-year hiatus due to litigation, the project resumed in 2019.
While all row houses under this project have now been fully completed, more than 200 individuals applied for the units during the application period, which concluded in April this year.
