An Israeli drone strike has killed a Palestinian man and wounded another after hitting a tent sheltering displaced people in central Gaza, medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital confirmed to Anadolu Agency.

The drone fired two missiles directly at the shelter situated west of Al-Zawayda, medical staff reported, with local sources identifying the victim as Abd Walid Matar.

Concurrently, Israeli artillery shelled eastern districts of Gaza City, naval vessels opened fire towards the shoreline, and a drone targeted the city’s Al-Karama neighbourhood.

In southern Gaza, Israeli forces carried out a demolition east of Khan Younis.

The military assaults occur amid daily Israeli breaches of a ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2025.

On Tuesday, Israeli bombardments and previous wounds claimed three Palestinian lives, including a young girl who died when a drone struck a tent near Gaza Municipality Park.

According to Gaza's Health Ministry, Israeli ceasefire violations have killed 1,599 Palestinians and wounded 5,774 others.

West Bank land seizures

In the occupied West Bank, illegal Israeli settlers seized eight Palestinian homes on Wednesday in Al-Duyuk al-Tahta, a village west of Jericho, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

Arriving with their families, settlers smashed doors and occupied the dwellings whilst the residents were away.

Israeli forces subsequently entered Jericho and its adjacent refugee camps with military vehicles.

Earlier Wednesday, the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that Israel confiscated 2,536 dunams (627 acres or 254 hectares) across Beitillu, Al-Mazra'a al-Qibliya, and Deir Ammar northwest of Ramallah by designating the plots "state land" to facilitate settlement expansion near Kerem Reim.

Approximately 750,000 Israeli settlers currently reside in 194 illegal settlements and 400 outposts across the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem.
