The iconic Hulhumale' West Side Jetty (Lakudi Jetty) has reopened to the public following the completion of repair and renovation works.

The popular waterfront landmark was closed on May 26 last year after sustaining damage when a barge attempted to approach the jetty. The closure was announced by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), which manages and oversees Hulhumale'.

Following months of repair work, the jetty has now been reopened, restoring access to one of Hulhumale's most recognisable public spaces.

The Hulhumale' Wooden Jetty has long been a popular spot for residents and visitors alike. In addition to serving people travelling to and from the area, the jetty is a favoured location for enjoying sea views, gathering with friends, and spending time along the waterfront.

Its reopening is expected to be welcomed by many residents who have been waiting for the return of a landmark that has become closely associated with Hulhumale's coastline.
