Following a period of inflationary pressure at the start of Ramadan, the retail market in Male has observed a notable reduction in the price of Kandoodhoo scotch bonnet chillies. Market data indicates a drop from previous highs of MVR 450 per kilogram to a current range of MVR 230 to MVR 280. This downward trend provides relief to consumers as the holy month progresses into its final stage. Alongside this staple, various essential fruits and vegetables remain available at competitive rates, reflecting a stabilization in local supply chains and market demand.
