Adam Ishan of R. Rasgetheemu was initially detained on March 8 on charges involving theft, trespassing, and property damage. Despite being released after a five-day remand order issued by Judge Safwath Habeeb, Ishan was promptly taken back into police custody the same day due to a new theft allegation. During his subsequent court appearance before Judge Ibrahim Zihni, he was ordered to serve a 15-day remand. Ishan unsuccessfully appealed for a reduction of this custody period, underscoring ongoing judicial challenges regarding immediate recidivism during the holy month.

  • Adam Ishan faced initial arrest on March 8 for property-related offenses.
  • The suspect was released following a five-day remand period.
  • Law enforcement re-arrested the individual on the day of his release for a separate incident.
  • Judge Ibrahim Zihni mandated a 15-day custodial remand for the new charges.

A man arrested for theft earlier this Ramadan has been taken into custody again on the very day he was released.

Adam Ishan of R. Rasgetheemu was first arrested on March 8 in connection with a theft case. Criminal Court records show he was produced before the court the following day and remanded for five days by Judge Safwath Habeeb on charges of theft, trespassing and damage to property.

He was released on Saturday after the remand period expired. However, he was arrested again the same day in connection with another theft case.

Adam was produced before the Criminal Court on Sunday, where Judge Ibrahim Zihni ordered him to be held in custody for 15 days. During the hearing, he also requested that his remand period be shortened.
