A huge fire broke out on Wednesday morning, at a warehouse located near the Galolhu Mortuary in Male’ City.
The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) confirmed receiving reports of a fire, but has yet to provide any details.
Photos and videos on social media platforms show a building on a narrow road ablaze with a huge fire, as thick black smoke rises up.
It also shows firefighters battling the blaze.
This latest fire comes less than a week after one at an accommodation block in ADh. Dhigurah killed five Bangladeshi workers, and left two more seriously injured.
A more recent fire broke out in a home in Hulhumale’ on Tuesday night, temporarily displacing seven people.
