A fire erupted in a godown situated on Izzuddin Magu in Male' City on Wednesday evening at approximately 21:30. The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) is currently active at the scene, concentrating efforts on containment near the vicinity of the Thoiba Mosque in the Maafannu ward. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has confirmed its presence and coordination regarding the incident. At this stage, official information concerning potential injuries or the extent of property damage remains unconfirmed, as emergency personnel continue their work to mitigate the threat.

A source in the area told Sun that the incident occurred at around 21:30.
