The Parliament sitting scheduled for 09:00 am was postponed by two hours on Tuesday, following a power outage at the Parliament building.
The Parliament Secretariat confirmed the power outage, announcing that the sitting has been postponed to 11:00 am.
The Parliament building has been affected by several power outages over the last couple of months, including in the middle of sittings.
The latest power outage comes with the Parliament scheduled to debate on a bill to amend the Criminal Procedure Code, sponsored by Funadhoo MP Mohamed Mamdhooh, and to hold several floor votes.
