Pres. Muizzu on China’s 77th National Day: Maldives committed to further elevate bilateral ties

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Thursday, reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to further elevating bilateral relations between the Maldives and China.

President Muizzu conveyed his warmest greetings and best wishes in a message to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the government, and the people of China marking the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The President underscored that the enduring friendship between the Maldives and China is founded on mutual respect, trust, and a shared vision of development and prosperity.

Recognizing China’s consistent role as a steadfast partner in the Maldives’ development efforts, President Muizzu highlighted that cooperation between the two countries continues to generate numerous opportunities that benefit the Maldivian people.

Looking ahead, President Muizzu reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to further strengthening the "Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership" between the two countries, with the aim of taking bilateral relations to new heights.

 

Concluding his message, the President expressed hope for the continued strengthening of the bonds of friendship between the peoples of the two countries and extended his wishes for China’s continued prosperity and progress.
